Included in Every Service
Every grooming service at WagLovePets includes a bath, drying, general brush-out, nail trimming, and ear cleaning* as part of your pet’s care.
Ear Plucking
Ear plucking is available by request only and will be performed when appropriate for your pet.
Nail Grinding & Filing
For a smoother, more rounded finish, nail grinding/filing is available as an optional add-on to any grooming service.
Anal Gland Expression
We do not offer anal gland expression. We recommend having this service performed by your veterinarian, who can properly assess your pet and provide the safest and most appropriate care.
Coat Condition & Additional Brushing
A general brush-out is included with every service. Excessive tangling, matting, or shedding that requires additional time and care may result in an additional fee. Any additional charges are based on your pet’s coat condition and the amount of time required to safely and comfortably brush out, de-shed, or de-mat the coat.
**Doodle Pricing**
Due to the unique coat types, grooming needs, and time required for Doodle breeds and mixes, separate Doodle pricing applies. Please refer to our Doodle Pricing section for service options and pricing.
Doodle Grooming
Our Doodle grooming services include everything listed in our standard grooming services — a bath, drying, general brush-out*, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. Ear plucking is available by request when appropriate, and nail grinding/filing may be added to any service.
Because Doodle coats can vary greatly in texture, density, length, and maintenance needs, we recommend keeping your pup on a regular 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8-week grooming schedule.
The best schedule for your Doodle will depend on their coat type, preferred haircut length, at-home maintenance, activity level, and your lifestyle. Pups kept in longer or fuller styles typically require more frequent professional grooming and regular brushing at home to keep their coat healthy and comfortable.
Our stylists are always happy to help recommend a grooming schedule and haircut that works best for both you and your pup.
Additional brushing, de-shedding, or de-matting may carry an additional fee depending on coat condition and the time required.
Policies
Appointment Arrival
We provide a 15-minute grace period for scheduled appointments. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in your appointment being canceled or rescheduled, and a fee of 50% of the scheduled appointment price may apply.
Because our appointments are scheduled specifically around the time and individual care each pup needs, late arrivals can affect the remainder of our grooming schedule.
Cancellations & No-Shows
We understand that plans can change! We kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment are subject to a $35 cancellation fee.
Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be charged 50% of the scheduled appointment price.
Repeated cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows may require a deposit or prepayment before future appointments can be reserved.
Pick-Up
We will provide approximately a 30-minute heads-up when your pup is nearing completion so you have time to plan for pick-up.
We ask that pets be picked up within one hour of our notification. A $25 extended-stay fee may apply when pets are left beyond this timeframe.
If you know in advance that you may need additional time for pick-up, please let us know prior to your appointment whenever possible. We are happy to accommodate when our schedule and salon environment allow.
Kenneling & Salon Comfort
For their safety, pups may be comfortably kenneled during portions of their visit when they are not actively being worked with.
We understand that not every dog is comfortable in a kennel or traditional salon environment. If your pup experiences significant stress, anxiety, or excessive barking while kenneled, we may recommend an express appointment or alternative scheduling arrangement when available.
If we feel our salon environment or services are not the right fit for your pet, we reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or decline services.
Grooming Schedules, Matting & Coat Condition
Regular grooming is one of the best ways to maintain your pup's coat comfortably and safely. For most pets, we recommend a 4, 6, or 8-week grooming schedule. Coats that are particularly prone to tangling or matting may benefit from a 3, 4, 5, or 6-week schedule, depending on coat type, haircut length, lifestyle, and at-home maintenance.
De-matting services are only offered, within reason, to clients maintaining an 8-week or less grooming schedule. De-matting is always dependent on your pet's coat condition, comfort, and ability to safely tolerate the process.
When matting is too extensive to safely or comfortably brush out, a shorter haircut or shave-down may be necessary. Extensive matting requiring a shave-down or pelt removal may result in an additional $25–$50 fee.
Fleas & Ticks
For the health and cleanliness of all pets in our care, pets with active flea or tick infestations may be refused or have their appointment discontinued.
We do not provide medicated flea treatments or flea baths. We strongly encourage clients to discuss appropriate year-round flea and tick prevention with their veterinarian.
Repeated or significant infestations may require veterinary treatment and/or proof of preventative care before another appointment can be scheduled.
Complete Client Agreement
